I just got back from the state theatre for the big o and dukes screening of BEERFEST. Everyone had a blast!!! The crowd was hyped and loud! The place was packed. I brought some new fans who hadnt been to any events before, they had a great time. The place was packed. Oscar came around and even went to the second floor to meet and greet. Sorry, but after reading all this negative comments, I like to give you my thoughts on this. When I walked out of the movie I was not really satisfied, because some things bothers me, like the monkey-rope scene and some other ridiculous and illogical things. But, then I remembered scenes from the first three movies, like jumping out of a plane with a rubber boat and then bob run with it down the Himalaya. Or Indy hanging on top of submarine and then swims with it through half of the ocean (isn't such a thing going underwater sometimes?). Well, what I want to say is that in the old Indy films there where tons of ridiculous stunts and it always was very cartoonish and yes, often cheesy. But as I child I liked those movies for that. They are just adventures with a lot of action, mystic and fun, not more. We have all grown up (with all that logic and reason), and we want the movie to fascinate us again like the first three did as we were a child. The disappointment is programmed. The movie is still an Indiana Jones Movie, it has so many running gags and links to the first three ones, it's truly a tribute to the fans. (Even that Indy starts Mutt to call 'Junior' was a nice one.) Maybe this one is too much of an Indiana Jones movie, because it just delivers elements that can be found in the first three movies too (the car chases, insects, falling down of waterfalls, e.g.) - but what else do we want? Also I didn't think the CGI was too much, I even found it was decent. And yes, this one was made to make money. The first three were also made to make money. Films are supposed to make money - so what? So, maybe just watch the first three again, then relax and just sit back and enjoy this one. It's not supposed to be drop dead serious and realistic. And when I look back, I wasn't bored throughout the whole movie, it was very entertaining. It's maybe just the long time between this and the last one, some things have changed, if we like it or not. But I am thankful that this movie was made. The only thing I was missing was the whip - it has one scene in the beginning and then Indi uses it never again in this movie. I always liked the whip, because it's not a normal weapon for a hero, and makes Indi a little more special.

there is a setting to make tivo record a show 5, 10 or even 15 minutes before AND after the show is schedules (so instead of 9-10, it will go from like 8:55 to 10:05). I always set it to go 5 minutes after, since the problem Mike (and others) experiencedhappens to a lot of people.

Yeah, yesterday on the "Big O and Dukes Show", you guys really beat on LARPing. You went out and picked possibly the nerdiest representation of it that you could possibly find. Those of us who do a full-contact version, without the "magic," "levels", or "hit points" are just thrown in to the stereotype of "dorks with no lives." We don't run around yelling "lightning bolt!" and throwing bean-bags at each other, but we charge each other head on, grapple, tackle,and bash our way through our opponents. Saying that all LARPing stinks based on the examples you gave is like saying that all football players suck, merely based off of one video you show of the worst peewee players in the country. My point here is that you should represent all sides of the situation before you go saying that everyone or everything involved is bad. Please, heed this in the future.

I have waited for what may 10 years for a Free O'meara show where he can conduct the show as he sees fit. Mike is so talented and it always seemed that Don was so insecure about himself that he squelched the man and encouraged Mike to keep to the most indignified (Charley) chars. Admittedly I spent the last tens years listening because very little competition at that hour and hoping to get a taste of some of the comedy of mike. Sort of a sandwich that filled my belly, but I had to remove the pickles and mustard...but I could still taste them. I sincerely wish Don great success and proserity, although in another market. I have done nothing but listen to the last show; over and over, the last few days. Of course, like the rest of your die-hard fans, we were upset that you were leaving. Now, I grew up listening to you when i was twelve. I remember the exact moment i first heard the don and mike show. I was driving with my dad, and there was a girl doing something that was so outrageous, he had to turn the station...Just like you had told callers to do so many times. But as soon as i got home, i tuned the dial straight to 1140 (YES! Im from Sacramento. It's really nice this time of year. I swear!)And i swear to God i wanted to be both of you guys. Everyday, i would turn my radio on the very second i got out of school. I lived to listen to don and mike. I tried to have the demeanor of don and the impersonations of mike. Obviously, no person could match either quality BUT, goddamnit i tried. I moved to Phoenix 6 years ago, and at first i was unable to listen to the show. But in the last little while here, i have been able to listen through itunes. I downloaded them compulsively. So now that i can replay these episodes over and over, the words have more of a chance to sink in. I have a dead end job, and you guys made my passion, radio. So listening to your stories, about how bad the industry can be, i said, "Screw it, it cant get any worse than what i have.". I will persue broadcasting now. I started listening in 1986. Fond memories include - Bart as the weatherman, the 3rd anniversary show at Warner Theatre (I think 3rd), I think another anniversary show tape. I've laughed so hard at your show I would almost drive off the road. I remember Charlie and Baklava having little Charlie. Which one fathered the kids of Frank Murphy again. I also remember going to the Don & Mike bowl, listening to your broadcast from the Super Bowls, listening to Bart growing up. When Cheryl called me and told me Freda died, it was losing a friend, as I had listened to her for all those years. I wish Don the very best and thanks for sharing your life and your family with us. You are one of a kind and the both of you are great. I have really enjoyed listening to you both over the last 21 years and will miss you. I hope you put out a Best of CD - that would be great.

I cried today because D&M have been a great part of my life. I listened way back when. Bart & my daughter are the same age. Went through the kids going off to college with them.The way Bart & Freda interacted when Bart was getting ready to fly the coup. I was going through the same thing. I laughed & cried! They helped get me through the death of my youngest brother. Spent many days sitting by my pool mourning my brother and laughing at D&M.Kids knew that if I had D&M on it was my time. I came back to the DC area two times during my 20 years and each time things had changed in with Don & Mike. When Don lost Fredia it struck hard because hearingDon & Mike everyday you knew what was going on in their lives. I wish Don the very best and you've been great and an enjoyment for all these years!

There needs to be some way Dan Snyder can be punished for his horrible management of this franchise. CEOs of company's with performance this poor are fired by the Board of Dir. I know he has no one to answer to, but at least as fans maybe we can not buy merchandise or food while in the stadium. There must be some other way that he can be punished. It took so long for him to find a coach, because NO ONE wants to work for him.

The only reason that he is taxed at a lower rate than his secretary is that he is rich enough to invest in long term investments and get taxed at 15%. Now, that does not mean that all of his money is taxed at that rate. Any income from his company will be taxed at 35 percent while his secretary is probably taxed at 20%. common people can get taxed at the same rate if they want. All they have to do it invest long term and hold shit for a year instead of day trading... or perhaps they can hold a dividend paying stock for 61 days. If the secretary is living with a man, likely she can live off hit tit and invest all her money and pay tax on only 5-10% of it. Good deal, but most peolpe do not have the disciple to not spend all their money. they are more interested in a good set of spinners.

Where are the most recent podcasts? I downloaded 1/14 yesterday and was going to download 1/15 today, but the podcast page now shows 1/10 as the most recent date for the Don and Mike Show. What gives?
