Plastic Surgery Associates of Northern Virginia ran a multi week on-air/online promotion driving listeners to wjfk.com where they could register to win a breast enhancement surgery in the Make My Body A Hottie contest. Over 60 potential new clients registered for this expensive procedure. Many more called the client directly for more information and to schedule appointments. This promotion was a great success and they have become an annual client.
On Air/Online Elements included: landing page, online registration, keyword search, banner ads, streaming audio commercials, gateway ads, over the air :10s, :30s and :60s contest web drivers, photo gallery, and blog.
Superstation Deals - Local restaurants and retailers offer 50% off gift certificates to WJFK’s listeners. Participating restaurants/retailers receive advertising exposure on-air and online with a dedicated page that showcases their menu/services, directions and link to their website. A new business is featured each week.
Elements include: eBlasts to over 30,000 WJFK listeners, a client specific landing page, and on air promotion.
A multi-location car dealership recently tested WJFK by running audio stream commercials and airing their TV commercials in the station’s streaming player pre-roll. The first month was so successful that this client has committed to a substantial annual on-air and online campaign. The new media used included pre-roll, synched banner and regular banners which all linked WJFK listeners to the client’s website.
Multiple sponsors, including Easterns, participated in the WJFK Bracket Challenge which delivered over 77,600 pageviews throughout the contest and over 5,000 registered contestants in a four day period. Registrants competed for the opportunity to win a car, TV, and other prizes.
A local auto dealer, Brown's Automotive, sponsored the WJFK “Traffic on Demand” section of the website. Listeners sign up for traffic alerts from the WJFK site and a sponsored traffic alerts are emailed to them whenever there are traffic problems on their commute. Sponsor received on air promotional mentions, sponsorship of traffic section and text sponsorship of e-alerts.
A ticket broker recently sponsored WJFK.com’s “New Stuff” section, which contains all recently discussed on-air content, on the station homepage. They are the feature sponsor of the WJFK “Freeloaders” email that goes out to over 30,000 listeners weekly.
